Auto Pakaging Application

Packaging is a method to enclose the product to protect for distribution, storage, sales and use. Packaging can be described as preparing goods for transport, warehousing, logistics, sales and end use.

Packaging may be described in relation to the type of product being packed, for example some pharmaceutical products or other day to day consumables. In such packaging utmost care has to be taken to make sure there is no contamination of the product due to human errors, even a minor mistake can cause consumers health and can cost manufacturer. This can cause the manufacturer brand name downfall as well as financially. This is where automated packaging proves to be really helpful as there is almost no chance of error and this would help manufacturer to increase production rate in same or even lesser time which can be cost effective and efficient. Proper packaging can also help prevent waste. Packaging plays an important part in preventing loss or damage to the packaged product.

Packaging can play an important role in reducing the security risks of shipment. Packages can be engineered to help reduce the risks of the theft and resale of products. Counterfeit consumer goods, unauthorized sales, material substitution and tampering can all be minimized or prevented with such anti-counterfeiting technologies. Packages may include authentication seals and use security printing to help indicate that the package and contents are not counterfeit. Packages also can include anti-theft devices such as RFID tags that can be activated or detected by devices at exit points. Using packaging in this way is a means of retail loss prevention. It also increases material handling convenience, repacking, recycling and dispensing.

Usually, the content and material usage of the product being packaged are much greater than that of the package. A vital function of the package is to protect the product for its intended use, if the product is damaged or degraded its entire content may be lost or left unusable. Production Line Automation

Manufacturing process in which parts are added as the semi-finished assembly moves from workstation to workstation where the parts are added in sequence until the final assembly is produced. By mechanically moving the parts to the assembly work and moving the semi-finished assembly from work station to work station, a finished product can be assembled faster and with less labour than by having workers carry parts to a stationary piece for assembly. Assembly lines are common methods of assembling complex items such as automobiles and other transportation equipment, household appliances and electronic goods.

An automated production line is comprised of a series of workstations linked by a transfer system and an electrical control system. Each station performs a specific operation and the product is processed step by step as it moves along the line in a pre-defined production sequence.

A fully automated production line does not need people directly involved in the operation, and all or part of the process of the production is completed by mechanical equipment and automated systems. Therefore, in an automated environment, the tasks of human are more likely to change to system design, adjustment, supervision and monitoring the operation of the system rather than controlling it directly.

Vision Automation

It is the technology used to provide imaging based automatic inspection and analysis for such applications as automatic inspection, process control usually in industry. Machine vision is terms emphasizing technologies, software and hardware products, integrated systems. We attempt to integrate existing technologies in new ways and apply them to solve real world problems. Vision automation also encompasses products and applications most often associated with image process.

Operation is done typically using cameras, lenses, lighting, a processor, software and output devices. All these components are put together to form an integrated system. This integrated system can recognize and verify whether the product on the line is correct or not, it can also be used to verify human readable texts, unique artwork, part presence or absence, part inspection and many more. More over recognizing and verifying the product details the system can be used to reject the product, this can be done by sending a signal to the rejection mechanism which can be pneumatic, hydraulic or some other mechanism depending upon the product on line to be rejected. Reading data from those objects followed by communicating that data or comparing it against target values to create and communicate pass/fail results.

When a manufacturer need to automate his inspection for identifying faulty products, the VISION INSPECTION technology provide complete solution that would improve their quality and fault detection rate. The results are therefore reliable and cost effective.
